OUR VISION
For the last seven years Statham Academy has not only been the most prominent basketball training business in Santa Clarita but it is recognized around the world. Led by SCV local Taylor Statham, founder and professional basketball player in 12 countries. Our goal is to grow the culture of basketball starting here in our hometown of the Santa Clarita Valley.
This has led to us working with over 2000 players around the world, over 30 events, and allowing us to help 70+ of our kids, gain scholarships to universities. We also consult FIBA teams helping us bridge the gap for players not only going professional but also connecting amateur players with national Olympic teams they have eligibility for.
In our second year of business we founded Creators Basketball allowing us to build and shape players from elementary school through high school. This lead to a major shift in our valley which was once known as a football and baseball town. Now has slowly turned into a hotbed for colleges of all levels to recruit. One of our first players Andrew Meadow is a perfect example of this since he started being mentored by us at age 7 and is now one of the top recruits in the nation, holding over 14 division one scholarships while also being apart of Israel’s national team.
That is one of many players we are extremely proud of. Being able to coach young players is a privilege. Helping them find their love for the game while also helping them grow into strong individuals with strong character is the most important part of what we do. We pride ourselves on using Basketball as a mirror for life in teaching young men and women lessons for life.
